Kickboxing has become more than just a sport to me; it’s a way of life. In my 17 years of training, I have studied and trained in a variety of martial arts. I have learnt a great deal about myself and made many good friends. This has helped me through life in many different ways.

I started Kickboxing to help my confidence and self esteem as I was being bullied and thought this would help. Over the years it has given me the confidence to stand up for myself. This has made me the person I am today.

• Dec 93 – 1st title shot… loss. Became No1 British contender
• Became British champion Oct 94 (under 15’s champ)
• Jan 95 – First defence… rematch win.

• July 95 – 1st open kickboxing
• Feb 96 – 1st open kickboxing
• Became Under 16 British champion Feb 96
• May 96. – (Semi Heavy) Disqualified for excessive contact… going full contact.
• 1996 – 2000 19 full contact bouts, British number 1 contender
• 1999-2002 Boxing for west hill boys club, Boxer of the year 2 years running
• 2000 – 2008 Started teaching what is now HKA at William Parker School. (For 8 years)
• Sept 08 – Started Coaching for the Council & running courses.
• Jan – Sept 2009 Helped Train the England Thai boxing squad over 8 months and onto victory in Rome
• Jan 2010 Brought and constructed my own Gym – HKA’s home
• Summer 2007 / 2010 2 x Self defence seminars (seni show)

• Semi contact – 34 Bouts – 28 wins / 1 draw / 5 losses
• Full contact – 19 Bouts – 14 wins / 1 draw / 4 losses
• Open Kickboxing semi continuous 3 x 1st – 5 x 2nd – 1 x 3rd
• Semi contact – including points / continuous, in total. 150+ Matches with 130+ wins (including teams events).
• Started Hastings Martial Arts back up in Jan 2000 at William Parker School. (For 8 years)
• Carl Denne branched out into Hastings Kickboxing Academy (HKA) for short in April 2009
